Opportunity to Purchase or Sponsor Artwork

Artwork on display at the Sidney Seaside Sculpture Walk is a combination of temporary Artwork provided by Artists for a two-year period and sculpture that is part of Sidney’s permanent collection.

The purpose of the sculpture walk is to add a new dimension and experience for the many visitors and residents who will be able to take advantage of Sidney’s spectacular seascape. Another objective is to provide both experienced and emerging Artists an opportunity to exhibit their work and increase their exposure to potential buyers.

Many businesses and individuals will want to support the arts in our community. Sidney’s Seaside Sculpture Walk provides new and very visible opportunities for individuals and companies to demonstrate their support through purchase and donation.

New Commissions

The Town of Sidney will work with individuals and corporations to commission new artwork and provide sites in the Town for the works to be exhibited as part of the Town of Sidney’s permanent collection. The sponsorship contribution will be recognized at the exhibit, in media announcements, at a special event and on the SSSW website.

Temporary Exhibits

Individuals or companies can purchase loaned artwork directly from the artists. The Town of Sidney may accept a donation of the artwork into its permanent collection and provide recognition to the donor located at the exhibit, in a media announcement, and on the SSSW website. Upon request, the Town will issue a tax receipt to the donor for the value of the Artwork donated to the community.

Purchase

All temporary work exhibited at SSSW sites are available for purchase directly from the artist. Visitors are also encouraged to visit the artists’ websites, visit their galleries and find that perfect piece of sculpture for their own collection.
